Work has commenced on the Mahaut Primary School.
Currently, demolition of the old structure is in process.
The Mahaut Primary School was damaged during the passage of Hurricane Maria in 2017.
The Prime Minister in September of 2020 stated that he believes Mahaut deserves a new school and promised that the Government will build a modern facility that is more conducive to learning.
During a Christmas messages, Parliamentary Representative for the Mahaut Constituency, Rayburn Blackmoore assured the community of Mahaut that a new state of the art, L-Shaped school will soon be constructed.
“Work will commence on a brand-new modern L-shaped Mahaut primary school and I can tell you the design is looking very pretty. It will be the first of its kind in Dominica,” Blackmoore stated.
