Construction approval has been given for over 200 new homes under the World Bank Housing Recovery Program.
This according to the Minister for Housing, Reginald Austrie.
“Under the World Bank Housing Recovery Program, to-date, we have given construction approval for some 210 new homes under that project, Austrie said.
“Planning approval for designs are being submitted by the design firm hired to complete this process and beneficiaries will participate in the selection of their contractors to engage the work under their behalf.”
Additionally, Austrie says, some 45 local contractors have met the requirements to be considered under the World Bank Housing Recovery Program.
“So we have certified these contractors, we will present those names to the homeowners, the beneficiary, and you will have the opportunity to decide who you want to construct your homes for you,” the Housing Minister, Reginald Austrie informed.
