The Cochrane United Farmers Group has given prizes to the top Agricultural Science 2020 Graduate of the Dominica State College.
Jodie Joseph, the top Agricultural Science at the Dominica State College, 2020, will receive a cash contribution from the Cochrane United Farmers Group to assist in furthering her studies.
“So, we’re very pleased to partner with the Dominica State College and to award this outstanding student [Jodie Joseph] a cash contribution for her to further her studies in what she wants to do.
The Dominica State College faculty of Applied Arts & Technology recognizes this is an Academic Excellence Award presented to Jodie Joseph for excellence in Agriculture 2020. Jodie congratulations again on behalf of the Farmers Group,” Jessica Canham, member of Cochrane United Famers Group stated.
The young agriculture student, Jodie Joseph hopes to further her education and become a Bio-chemist in Agriculture.
She also extended thanks on behalf of the Dominica State College for the award.
“On behalf of the Dominica State College and myself, I would like to thank the Cochrane United Farmers Group for sponsoring this reward. I really appreciate it and I will continue in the division of Agriculture because that is what I love,” the top agriculture student of the Dominica State College said.
Meanwhile, President of the Cochrane United Famers Group, William Sabroache said the group is very much elated to present the award to Jodie Joseph for being the outstanding student in Agriculture at the Dominica State College.
“I know it takes a lot of hard work and sleepless nights but at the end it pays off,” Sabroache said.
“Today you are being awarded by Cochrane United Farmers Group for your great achievement. Some day we long to see you come back into the system and assist us, if not at the Central Division.
I know some of us are there and in the next few years we will be out, so young persons like you are welcome right in to assist,” he added.
The Cochrane United Famers Group prides itself on bringing resources and supporting the Cochrane farmers in building a more sustainable agricultural system in ensuring there is better food security in the village and beyond and also partnering with institutions like the Division of Agriculture among others.
