Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says one of the ways to grow and expand Dominica’s economy is by having the international airport constructed here in Dominica.

He says he is satisfied that with the international airport, more tourists will come into Dominica simply because of the unique product the island has to offer to tourists.

“There are not many countries that can talk about waterfalls and hot springs and rivers the way we’re talking about, and the Waitukubuli national trail and the many other trails and the many other attractions that we have in Dominica. Our serenity, our beauty, our safety, and our improvements in health care that would provide adequate health services to our visitors and tourists,” Prime Minister Skerrit noted.

He explained further, “We will certainly see our hotel occupancy rates increasing because we will have direct flights from North America, we’ll have direct flights from Europe, we will see private jets coming into our country because people love the products that we have, they love the hotels and offerings that we have in Dominica.”
