Major works are ongoing in the Paix Bouche constituency.
That’s according to the Parliamentary Representative for the Paix Bouche Constituency and Minister for Sports, Culture, and Community Development, Hon. Roselyn Paul.
She said the construction of a wall in the Bell Maniere area with a cost of over $400,000 is nearing competition while the construction of homes is also being done.
“Within the Paix Bouche constituency, there are even now ongoing projects. We are at the point where we are completing a major wall in the Bell Maniere area and that wall is very very critical because it addresses a very vulnerable area,” Paul noted.
“So this project which was at a cost of over $400,000, I at the point of completion.”
“We also have ongoing housing projects currently we are working to complete 10 houses for individuals in the Paix Bouche constituency and that is across communities. We will be doing another 12 subsequent to that to complete so there were a number of houses under construction that we are at the point of completing these houses for individuals. By the time at the end of the year we do these houses, it will take us to about 53 houses that we have done in the Paix Bouche constituency on individual land. So that is ongoing.”
Paul is also hoping to hand over keys of a newly constructed home to a resident of the community in the near future.
“We are very happy to report for example a beautiful little house that has been constructed for Mrs. Nelly Winston and we hope to deliver the keys. Everybody is talking, it’s a very beautiful little house that we are doing for her. She has been out of her home since hurricane Maria so she should be coming back to her house, and a beautiful one at that, very shortly. So housing is ongoing and doing very well in the Paix Bouche constituency.”
