The Government of Dominica is to build Forty-five apartments in Massacre in the near future.

Parliamentary Representative for the Mahaut Constituency, Rayburn Blackmoore made the announcement on Friday during the handing over of keys to thirty families in Jimmit.

“We have already gotten the approval from the Prime Minister to construct forty-five apartments in Massacre. We have already identified the lot but it is privately owned and of course, the Ministry of Housing has to enter into negotiations with the owners…But if you’re saying this one is nice, wait when you see Massacre because the Prime Minister came to the site, you’ll even be able to see from your home planes landing and taking off at the Canefield airport, it’s going to be spectacular.”

Blackmoore also announced 75 apartments are also expected to be built in the Canefield East area.

“Seventy-five apartments will be built in Canefield East. It is a little easier because the land is owned by the state and it’s going to be extra spectacular, you’ll be able to stay in your apartment and see the entire Caribbean Sea; It’s going to be a site.”
