Dominica has six active cases of COVID-19.
That takes the total number of confirmed cases to 30.
Health Minister, Dr. Irving McIntyre made the announcement on Thursday. He said, “As of September 24th, 2020, we have a total of thirty confirmed cases of COVID-19.”
Twenty-four individuals have fully recovered while six are at the COVID centre.
“Five of these active cases are asymptomatic and only one has mild symptoms,” McIntyre stated.
The age ranges from 2 years to 59 years with the median age being 33 years.
McIntyre added that the majority of these cases are imported cases with some 87 contacts identified from the community and only three of the contacts are COVID positive with ninety-six being negative
McIntyre says there is no community spread of the virus here in Dominica.
