A flood watch will come into effect jn Dominica from midnight, due to heavy rainfall associated with a tropical wave and trough system, according to the Dominica Meteorological Service’s advisory issued at 6pm on Saturday 4 August 2018.
The advisory indicates that a tropical wave and a trough system are expected to continue generating unstable conditions across the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.
Increased cloudiness, shower activity and possible isolated thunderstorms are expected to be maintained across the chain, including Dominica.
A flood watch will come into effect from midnight tonight until 12p.m Sunday, 5th August 2018.
People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution during the period.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 7.0ft.
