The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force is investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Newtown on Wednesday 4 July 2018 at 10:15AM.
Police Public Relations Officer, Simon Edwards confirmed on Wednesday evening that Telford Kerry Ursan Geroge, male, twenty-seven years of Stockfarm, residing in Newtown was “shot twice by a pillion rider on a motor scooter which was travelling south on the Newtown public road”.
“Geroge received a gunshot wound to his right thigh and one to his waist. At the time he was standing close to a bus parked on the western side of the road,” Edwards reported.
He was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
“The police is in search of two male individuals involved in the incident. Anyone with information relevant to the matter, may contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 266 5157, 266 5119 or Police Headquarters using the Emergency number 911,” Edwards said.
