Local residents are again warned, during another lockdown weekend that there is no ease during curfew hours.

Curfew hours are from 6am to 6pm on weekdays and 6pm Fridays until 6am on Mondays.

Deputy Police Chief, Lincoln Corbette, reminded that on weekdays between the hours of 6am and 6pm, only essential services are to be accessed.

“Citizens and residents are reminded that the curfew period remains in force until May 11th, 2020. This is not a free pass to just move around aimlessly.”

He specifically discouraged recreational trips warning that police will continue to patrol beaches and rivers.

“You are not to use this time to go to the beaches or riverside to have fun or picnic. If you have no legitimate reason as stipulated in the SRO you are to remain indoors.

“This weekend, like other weekends,” he added, “there will be a total lockdown from 6pm Friday, April 24th until 6am Monday, April 27th.

Anyone found to be on a public place without being exempted will be prosecuted.”
