Five students of the Dominica State College (DSC) are fully sponsored and ready to vie for the Miss DSC Mas Jamboree 2020 title.
On Thursday 23rd January , at the DSC upper campus, the contestants were each introduced and sashed by their individual sponsors.
Speaking exclusively with Vibes News, Director of student activities, Trudy Christian remarked that this year’s pageant will in fact be bigger than previous years.
“Mas Jamboree is going to be a grand event, it’s going to be the ultimate carnival experience and we are looking forward to full participation from the DSC students and young people across the island.”
About preparations, Christian says, “Preparation has been very hectic for the girls thus far they have been putting in a lot of hours. Of course as you notice, all of them have been fully sponsored at this point so they have been securing their sponsorship, practicing their walking and their talents and they are really ready to put on a fabulous show for Mas Jamboree.”
Meantime, the ladies all express confidence about capturing the Mas Jamboree title.
The contestants vying for the Miss Mas Jamboree title are: Aaliyah Alexander, Sponsored by Convenience Plus Inc, Briana Laudat sponsored by Insurance Company of the West Indies, Kayjah Charles sponsored by Big Edge Financial Express, Deniscia Laurent by Do-It-Center and Dainisha Eusebe sponsored by Malcolm Stephens and Sons Ltd.
They are expected to be presented in six segments; runway segment, thematic wear, talent round, swimwear round and evening wear round which will coincide with a question and answer segment.
The reigning Miss DSC Mas Jamboree is Hailey Bruney.
DSC Mas Jamboree 2020 will be staged on February 18th 2020 at the Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt.
Patrons can expect entertainment from Triple Kay International and various students and groups of the DSC.
