Three national football players have been invited to try-out for the Cornucopia Football Club of Trinidad and Tobago.
Erskine Williams of LA Enterprise Bombers FC, Ajaya Royer of Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC and Donan Jervier of Promex Harlem United FC will train with the Trinidadian club for three months beginning on Monday, December 16th.
“During the trial period, the players will be assessed on their physical fitness, technical ability, tactical awareness and personal traits,” Gerald George, Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Football Association says.
“At the end of the three-month period based on their overall performances, they will have the opportunity to join the club for the 2019/2020 season of the TT Pro League which is the highest level in the Trinidad and Tobago league system.”
He says national players have found great success with teams overseas.
George revealed, “Just in October, Sidney Lockhart of Sagicor South East joined the Morgan Caledonia United Football Club in the TT Pro League.
Briel Thomas has been playing in the TT Pro League for a number of years now.”
The Dominica Football Association is also calling on all clubs to submit their players names to confirm their insurance coverage for the 2020 sporting season.
The DFA has committed to financing the insurance policies of all registered players.
The Sports Awards Ceremony 2018/2019 takes place this Saturday, December 14th at the Prevost Cinemall from 6:30pm.
