FLOW Dominica is pleased to announce the revival of a beloved independence staple event, Creole in the Park.
The event spans three days this year and takes place at the historic Botanic Gardens from October 22nd to 24th, 2019.
FLOW says it will use the opportunity to recognize deserving individuals who have contributed significantly to Dominica’s creole culture with the FLOW Creole Lifetime Award.
“An individual whom we consider to be a pioneer and contributor to the development, preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage,” Jeffery Baptiste, General Manager of FLOW told Dominica Vibes.
Working with key stakeholders and business partners, FLOW has developed this activity to a level where many patrons are returning to Dominica specifically for this event.
Baptiste says it is the company’s pleasure to host the Creole in the Park after two years of dormancy due to the passing of Hurricane Maria in 2017.
He confirmed with Dominica Vibes that the dormancy was necessary as the company sought to rebuild efforts.
“After two years of not having CITP we are extremely pleased to be reintroducing it. We are excited. We have all our plans in place,” he said.
“We generally deliver what is from all accounts an exceptional event and we do not expect any different this year. In fact, we are planning for an exceptional job in presenting the 14th edition of CITP,” the FLOW Manager says.
“We have started engaging with suppliers, our corporate partners to secure additional support and we are ready,” Baptiste effused.
The formal media launch is scheduled October 3rd and FLOW looks forward to making a public pronouncement on the lineup.
