The cultural Division merged with the National Cultural council to host the 21st annual Ole Mas and Sensay festival.
On Sunday 3rd February the event started off with a brief parade at a bout 3 p.m. from the fort young hotel area through High Street and ended at the Newtown Savanna for commencement of the Festival ceremony.
There were various groups on display at the event, such as: the Black stilt walkers;the different Lapoh Kabwit groups; Newtown Thunder Birds; Grandbay and Colihaut Band Mauve; Dublanc Sensay groups; The Bacchanal Women and Afro Stilt Walkers.
Present at the Festival was Minister of Tourism, Robert Tonge and Coordinator of DFC events Miss Marva Williams, as well as the the Miss Dominica Pageant Contestants for 2019.
Chief cultural officer, Raymond Lawrence, describes the event as a successful one and gives special thanks to every group and individual who made it possible.
