The 2019 Miss Teen Dominica was launched on Wednesday 16th January 2019. The launching took place at 5:30 pm at the Old Mill Cultural Center.
The theme of the show is “Promoting Creativity and Building Potential”.
Six young ladies were introduced as the contestants for the Miss Teen 2019 Show.
Dyzaira Durand from the St. Martin’s Secondary School sponsored by Dominica Lottery Commission. Olani Coipel will represent the Pierre Charles Secondary School sponsored by One Plus and Earth Dreams Car Rental. Kyanna Dyer a student from the Convent High School will be sponsored by J. Astaphans and Co Ltd and Signal Band. Tishana Hilton from the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School sponsored by Protection One Inc. Tyra Holsborough will represent the Orion Academy and sponsored by Green Rose Demolition and Construction Ltd and Triple Kay Inc and; Tricia Cuffy from Goodwill Secondary School who is sponsored by Auto Depot Ltd.
At the launching there was: a performance by Tasha P; a speech from the reigning Miss Teen Georgianna Albert; remarks from the Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Tonge and; remarks from an AC Shillingford representative as AC Shillingford is the main sponsor of the show.
This year marks the 42nd annual Miss Teen Dominica Pageant.
The official show will take place on Sunday 24th February, 2019 at the Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt. Tickets for children costs $15, $25 for adults and $30 to sit at the show. The venue for purchasing tickets is TBA.
