Six more finalists were presented along with their songs for the 2018 Cadance-Lypso Competition scheduled for 2 November, 2018.
The second group of finalists was launched at the National Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU) Board Room on Monday 27 August 2018.
Five competitors of Group one were previously launched along with their songs.
Event Coordinator of the NCCU Cadance-Lypso Show Dexter Ducreay stated, “The feedback received from satisfied patrons is overwhelming and gives us the impetus to manage the demanding schedule that the show requires”.
Mr. Ducreay said this is the second segment of a three part launching of the Cadance Lypso Show finalist and their songs.
The six additional finalists are Carsim Birmingham with his song Lavi Dou, Chris Sylvester with his song Chauffeau Bus, Desmond Lawrence with his song Doubout, Shirley Charles her song Nou Bouzwen Viv, Charles Leatham with his song Dominik I Love You, and reigning Cadance Lypso King Anton Joseph with his song Still Striving
The Cadance Lypso Show is in their sixth year and sponsored by the National Cooperative Credit Union.
There will also be a band segment of the show, where four bands will compete. These bands are Look Us Band, Signal Band, First Serenade Band and Fanatik Band.
Each individual artist in the Cadance Lypso Show will be allowed seven minutes to showcase their talent, while the bands will be allowed forty five minutes on the stage.
Tickets are $60.00 in advance, $70.00 at the gate and $150.00 for VIP.
