A Shuttle Service will once again be implemented to facilitate patrons who will be attending the annual Jazz ‘n Creole Festival.
This shuttle service is necessary as patrons will not be able to park inside the Cabrits National Park.
At the last press conference before the event on Wednesday 16 May 2018, Acting Festivals and Events Manager, Marva Williams stated that three parking spots will be allocated near the location, with shuttle services available at each area.
The three parking areas are HHV Whitchurch, Portsmouth Secondary School, and the Moroccan Hotel.
The Portsmouth Secondary School will be doing this as a fundraiser “so give them all the support that you can,” Williams stated.
“There will be shuttle services at each of these locations and for only two dollars they are going to take you all the way to the ticket booth area,” she informed.
“When you get to the ticket both, you purchase your tickets, and you are processed, then another shuttle, which is a free one, will be available to take you to the main area of the Cabrits National Park, where the event will actually take place,” Williams added.
Dominica’s Princess of Song Michelle Henderson and Xavier Strings from Trinidad, will headline the ninth staging of the festival, with Pan Harmony, Stars, and Xtasy Band also on the lineup.
Tickets cost seventy five dollars per person, and can be purchased at Dominica Festivals Committee, Bulls Eye Pharmacy and at the mainstage event.
The Festival will be hosted at Fort Shirley in Cabrits this Sunday from 2PM.
