Five students from the Dominica State College will vie for the title of Miss DSC Mas Jamboree. At a small, private ceremony held on Friday, December 13, 2019, the contestants signed contracts and were sashed.
The contestants are Miss Aaliayh Alexander, a Law Enforcement major; Miss Briana Laudat, a Computer Science and Geography major; Miss Kayjah Charles, an Information Technology and Economics major; Miss Deniscia Laurent, a Law Enforcement major; and Miss Dainisha Eusebe,a Geography major.
The DSC Mas Jamboree pageant is a highly anticipated aspect of Mas Domnik celebrations. It serves as a platform for students to showcase their extraordinary talents in pageantry, music, dance, event planning, and production. It also provides a stepping stone for students to go on to bigger pageants if they so desire.
The contestants will be officially launched at the Dominica State College in January. Dominica State College is encouraging all potential sponsors and stakeholders to come forward willingly to recreate what has become one of the most anticipated events during Mas Domnik.
The DSC Mas Jamboree pageant will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Festival City.
Miss Hallie Bruney is the current title-holder.
