Dominica State College understands the importance of developing human resource skills-set. Therefore, for the past sixteen years, the institution has been providing training programs to qualify members of the public in various fields of expertise such as Building and Civil Engineering, and Architecture.
On October 16, the Dominica State College received a shipment of second-hand tools, personal safety equipment, and access equipment from the Thomas Foundation, based in the United Kingdom. The items were donated as humanitarian aid to support the construction of ‘Skills Centers of Excellence’ for the youth and adults of Dominica. They hope to enable the trained people to gain recognized accredited qualifications, access to higher-paid job opportunities and improve the general skill base in Dominica.
Dominica State College expresses profound gratitude to the Thomas Foundation and looks forward to enhancing their offerings.
