Gov’t continues assisting with education in Mahaut Constituency

Parliamentary Representative of the Mahaut Constituency, Rayburn Blackmoore has said the government continues to support education in his constituency by assisting students financially.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has continued to reiterate the fact that the goal of his government is to have at least one university graduate in every household island wide.

“This year 61 students graduated and they were fully supported by the Labor Party Administration in the Mahaut Constituency,” he said while thanking the Minister of Education and the Dominica Labor Party administration during Parliament last week.

This school year he revealed that eighty students from his constituency will be attending the Dominica State College all fully supported by the government.

In addition to assisting students attain education locally; Blackmoore said that twenty students from the Mahaut Constituency are also completing studies in the United Stated, supported fully by the government.
