Local CXC Registrar Magalie Celestine has said the computer equipment received from the Ministry of Education will assist in CXC e-testing for students.
A 1.8 Million dollar donation of Computer equipment was made by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development to Secondary Schools Principals, at a ceremony at the Newtown Primary School last week Friday.
Ms. Celestine says the donation of the Computer equipment by the Ministry of Education is a timely venture, as CXC is now in an era of e testing for Csec exams.
“Private candidates have already been introduced to the platform, so now our High School students can be brought on board for Csec and eventually CCSLC exams,” Ms. Celestine said.
She told the Secondary School Principals to encourage their teachers to use ICT in the classroom on a larger scale.
Among the equipment donated to the secondary schools include mini laptops, laptops, routers, charging trolleys and desk top computers.
