Permanent Secretary (P.S) in the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Chandler Hyacinth has applauded the achievements of the Dominica Association of Teachers (DAT).
Addressing DAT’s nineteenth National General Meeting held at the St. Alphonsus Parish Hall on Wednesday 19 April 2017, Hyacinth said the gathering is the ideal opportunity for reflection on DAT’s achievements through the years as well as to plan for the future of the education system.
“Today’s activity, once again reminds us of the important responsibility with which we are charged; that of optimizing the human resource capacity within our nation…Collectively, you possess several lifetimes of experience in education. Your expertise is therefore most valued in our attempt to foster growth and prosperity as a nation.”
Hyacinth said therefore, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development wishes to recognize the DAT for its invaluable contribution to the education landscape of Dominica and added that DAT is to be commended and congratulated for its growth, development and achievements.
“Your vibrant, dynamic leadership has contributed to this emergence, and as a national organization, you have helped shape national educational policy and sponsored educational programs which have contributed to the upliftment and professional development of teachers. The Dominica Association of Teachers must be applauded for such admirable achievements,” she stated.
