The Dominica Business Forum Inc. (DBF Inc) will be hosting the National Economic Forum (NEF) 2019.
The event is carded to take place at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday 14th February, 2019, at the Goodwill Parish Hall.
The National Economic Forum (NEF) 2019 is the first of it’s kind and is aimed at discussing critical issues related to challenges and access to funding by the private sector.
Invitations have been extended to all private and public sector institutions, that are associated with private sector finances. Practical solutions to resolve the numerous concerns of the private sector are anticipated to be the main outcome of the event.
This forum will be conducted under the theme ‘Towards creative solutions in enhancing access to finance by the private sector’.
Topics to be discussed at the forum include but are not limited to the Citizens By Investment Program, CREAD and Taxes for which your contribution will prove to be valuable.
According to President of DBF Inc Severin McKenzie, there is an issue in relation to the private sector accessing finances hence the discussions to be held at this forum.
Additionally, the DBF Inc is collaborating with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), through the National Programme Coordinator, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, to allow a one hour presentation and discussion to apprise the private sector on access to the GCF.
To attend this event there is a registration fee of $60 for members of the Dominica Business Forum (DBF) and $75 for non-members. Registration is at the DAIC office on the 2nd floor at the Prevost Cinemall and registration ends on Friday February 8th.
DBF Inc plans to host more forums similar to this if there is a positive feedback from the business.
