Agnes Clarke of Tarish Pit has been gifted with paints by Harris Paint Dominica to aid in her post Hurricane Maria rebuilding.
At a short ceremony Friday morning Miss Clarke received the donation of paints to assist in repainting her home. Repair Services and Export Manager Rosalyn Sorhaindo Madir says Harris Paints is celebrating 40 years of operations in Dominica and as part of the celebration, is giving back to customers.
“We had a week of activities and part of the activities was to give back to a needy person in the community and Miss Clarke was selected for need for painting of her house which was repaired after the passage of Hurricane Maria. Miss Clarke received paints for beautifying her house and also a gift voucher of $500.00 which can redeemed at Witchurch IGA Supercenter for items she required.” Mrs. Madir said.
The company also erected road signs on Saturday in Goodwill as part of Harris Paints celebrations.
“Harris paints adopted the roundabout in Goodwill in 1989 and we are redoing the roundabout. We are replanting the plants, and replacing four signs which were destroyed in that area since Hurricane Maria,” Ms. Madir added.
