Jolly’s Pharmacy will be hosting a Children’s Wellness Fair on Saturday 7 April 2018.
Carlton Lanquedoc, public relations officer of Jolly’s Pharmacy told members of the media that the fair’s purpose is to assist children in enjoying their childhood.
“The whole purpose of this fair is to really get children to enjoy childhood, enjoy everything that exemplifies what a child should be doing and experiencing. But in a social and wellness friendly environment,” he said.
He added that a full day of activities specifically for children is planned for the wellness fair which will take place at the Botanic Gardens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We are going to be having children exercising session. We’re going to be having an educational session on nutrition and self-development for children. Children will have the opportunity remember to play the games that we played when we were children. Like the sack race or lime and spoon but there’s no limes we’ll be using marbles. We will also be having a talent part of the day where children will come on stage and sing a song or say a poem, we’ll have trivia questions,” Lanquedoc revealed.
The target ages are children 3 to 12 years old, he said saying, “We’ve partnered with some good friends. There will be lots of eats and drinks and good clean music that is appropriate to children. So it’s just a great day, it’s one of the ways Jolly’s is giving back again to the community. We’re not making any money from this; it’s just a philanthropic activity geared at children in the advent of the opening of school.”
