Member states of the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) will now be able to obtain information on market access conditions for the exportation of goods within CARICOM through the Caribbean Exporter Gateway, a web-based database developed in response to the needs of Caribbean Exporters.
Caribbean Exporter Gateway is now on stream.
Through this single window, Member States of CARICOM will be better able to identify and access trade performance under existing bilateral agreements with the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Cuba and other preferential markets.
Caribbean Exporter Gateway will also serve as a resource platform for private sector, researchers, academia and persons with interest in gathering market access information for products entering markets of the countries included in this platform.
The electronic platform will contain information on;
• Rules of origin and non-tariff measures including sanitary and non-sanitary requirements,
• Import licenses and;
• Other duties and charges
The system was developed with funding from Spain under the CARICOM-Spain Joint Fund and can be accessed by logging onto the CARICOM Website www.caricom.org and clicking the link provided under “Resources”.
